EDDC’s Development Management Committee have today given the green light for a Veterinary Centre to be built on agricultural land next to Sidmouth Garden Centre. This sets an unfortunate precedent for ribbon development alongside the A3052, and yet more steady loss of the irreplaceable Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The World Heritage Site Jurassic Coastline, shared of course by Sidmouth, remains intact, after the DMC decision today to reject a plans for a modern building to replace the historic Budleigh Salterton longboathouse. Report on ITV news.
