Knowle Appeal upheld by Inspector. What impact on a ‘balanced community’ for our town ?

The announcement presumably means that Sidmouth will soon boast the District’s largest retirement development for what is known in the national press as the over-sixties ‘smart set’.

Ironically, the site at Knowle has long been the Sid Valley’s largest provider of office jobs for working-age people, and moreover, in a privileged parkland setting.

Apparently the newbuild EDDC HQ, requiring a loan, is already underway at a Honiton Business Park.

  2. To build something twice the size of Powys is absolute madness. This decision requires a ministerial or House of Lords appeal.
