East Devon AONB gain Commendation in English Heritage Angel Awards

Events and news

The English Heritage Awards

A Commendation from the English Heritage Angel Awards, and other plans for Devon’s AONB.
This week the East Devon AONB was presented with a Commendation from the English Heritage Angel Awards for their role in encouraging local people to become involved in saving England’s Heritage.
Andrew Lloyd Webber, who chairs the Awards Ceremony and whose foundation co-funds the Awards, said that: “Heroic rescue projects like these make an important contribution to local and national history, to the life of the local community and to the vital task of securing England’s rich and varied heritage for present and future generations.”

In direct contrast, EDDC wants to transform  a designated  Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) at Sidford Fields into a 12 acre employment land site. How were EDDC persuaded to include such a large scale project in their Local Plan?
