BBC’s Politics Show shines spotlight on East Devon
The BBC’s flagship Sunday Politics Show will shine a bright spotlight on East Devon this week, with a series of interviews about what impact planning issues had on the council elections last week. The south west part of the programme, will also examine the appeal of independent councillors. There will be interviews with Dr Margaret Hall from the East Devon Campaign to Protect Rural England, new EDDC councillor Susie Bond, who was elected in a landslide victory in last week’s Feniton and Buckerell by-election, following Graham Brown’s resignation. I was also interviewed by Jenny Kumah about how important planning issues were to residents during the election. Answer: It was one of the top two issues raised with myself and Roger Giles, as we went from door to door talking with residents. Following the interviews, there will then be studio discussions with local MPs and possibly EDDC’s leader, Cllr Paul Diviani. Tune in at 11am on BBC1 this Sunday.
