Richard Thurlow, Chair of Save Our Sidmouth, issued this statement to the press today:

EDDC’s Local Plan was sent to the Inspector at the beginning of this month. He has just informed EDDC that many of the changes made to the plan before submission, were not “minor” as EDDC asserted, but in fact were “major” and that the public should be reconsulted.

The Planning Application for the Knowle had to be re-issued four times.

EDDC has an extremely poor record of preparing documentation, at a large cost to the taxpayers of East Devon….We do hope that EDDC will be more circumspect in their Reports and documentation in the future
