Sidmouth’s Community Notice Board, Old Fore Street.

Some comments about the recent refusal of retrospective planning permission, can be found at www. streetlife.com   https://www.streetlife.com/conversation/21pb5zv6afvcv/?uid=qeY5a&utm_source=daily&_external=True

Here’s an example, from  hibou about 15 hours ago

‘Disgraceful decision – and soooo petty. EDDC didn’t want a notice board where SOS notices could be displayed. Absolutely pathetic. Take the board down and let people “illegally” fly post on the wall – see what they do then!’

EDDC Cabinet to look at options for Knowle relocation (5.30pm, Wednesday 17th July) . But is relocation of EDDC offices itself optional?

Radio Devon has today conducted interviews on this thorny topic, including one with newly-elected Sidmouth Town Councillor, Kelvin Dent. SOS believes the proposed move of Council offices is unnecessary, will harm Sidmouth’s economy, and will be costly for East Devon taxpayers. See recent posts on this website: Knowle’s future…The sustainable and cost-effective option (July 16th) , and EDDC Knowle offices….no need to relocate (July 15th). SOS and East Devon Alliance supporters will be closely following the Cabinet’s discussion at tomorrow evening’s meeting at Knowle.  Press will also attend.
