SOS anti-whitewash demonstration postponed until next TAFF meeting (date to be announced)

Those members of the public who turned up at Knowle last night, for the TAFF meeting scheduled for 6p.m., found it had been cancelled due to extreme weather. At least one person had travelled from Exmouth, and was particularly surprised to see the  car parks empty (see photo below). The TAFF Chairman lives in Sidmouth, of course. Some wondered what is the quorum necessary for a TAFF meeting to go ahead.

More serious questions concerning this TAFF on the EAST DEVON BUSINESS FORUM will be posted on this SOS website shortly.

Knowle closed today from 3pm today. Tonight’s TAFF meeting is cancelled.

Anti-whitewash demonstration is simply postponed until next TAFF meeting.

New date will presumably be announced very soon (good reasons why it ought to be ..more about this shortly, on SOS and the SIN blog) .

Look very carefully at the agenda for next time…will any changes have occurred?

Meanwhile, many thanks to Radio Devon and all other media reporters who’ve been on standby. SOS will keep you informed of developments.

SIN blog passes 20,000 threshold!

Congratulations to the sidmouthindependentnews website, not yet 4-months old!  We understand that the views to date total 20,669.

The SIN archive, has been very helpful to the SOS campaign.  The origin of tomorrow night’s crucial TAFF Committee Meeting on the East Devon Business Forum (see our own previous post, 21 Jan), can be found, for example,  at

http://sidmouthindependentnews.wordpress.com    on September 27, and two posts on Sept 28, 2012.

(Other related SIN posts on Dec 22 Why we may soon need a TAFF to look at TAFFs! ; and on 3,4,& 6 Jan 2013)

And, of course, SIN has up-to-date information on tomorrow evening’s  anti-whitewash demonstration at Knowle.
