New Date for Objections to Revised Knowle Plans: 16th November

Letter just received by SOS Chair, reproduced with permission:

Dear Mr Thurlow,

Thank you for your attached e-mail. Hopefully you received an automated response and will appreciate that I have not been able to reply because I have been on leave.

I hope that in my absence you managed to get the information you needed from my colleagues but if for any reason this is not the case I can clarify that the consultation period runs until the 16th November. This date is slightly later than the date stated in the letters sent to the immediate residents because we had to put a further notice in the press and unfortunately because we missed the papers deadlines it was not published until a week later than expected.

The reason for the consultation is because the indicative layout plan and a number of the reports have been revised to reflect additional information that been produced and discussions that we have had with the applicants. All of the letters that we have previously received will still be considered and so there is only a need for people to write in again if they wish to make comments on the amendments and additional information. There is no need to duplicate letters that we have already received and are considering.

I trust this helps to clarify the situation.

Regards.

Knowle: Getting it taped

In response to one of many SOS-related articles and letters in the Sidmouth Herald today, Michael Temple has the following comment and suggestion:
‘I note in today’s Herald that Mark Williams says he would have happily worked with us to put up markings in the Knowle (to show zones and trees due for the chop). This directly contradicts a request I made some while back to R Cohen who point-blank refused to allow such a thing.
Should we now request that zones be taped, buildings areas marked and trees to be cut down ribboned?
And that this be done soon and shown to councillors on or before Dec 4…’
SOS believes that if EDDC does not allow this taping, they are purposely denying vital information to councillors who are making the decision on the Planning Application.
